This flexible 2-5 day course will be based on Skye and gives you an exciting way to learn the skills needed to climb safely and enjoyably. We will learn the techniques on easily accessible crags and then venture on to some sea cliffs and classic multi-pitch mountain crags.
The course will cover: ropework, belays, placing runners, abseils, stance organisation and will also coach you on personal climbing skills and techniques.
We aim to provide you with a good solid grounding in rock climbing and have an exhilarating time in the process.
Designed for those who already have climbing experience and would like to improve their own technical and personal abilities.
The course will cover: belaying, ropework, stance management, protection, multi-pitch climbing, abseiling, rescues and lead climbing (if required).
There are many terrific mountain routes, inland crags, sea cliffs and sea stacks up in the NW highlands and we aim to tick off the classic lines on some of them including routes on Beinn Eighe, Sron na Ciche in the Cuillin, the Elgol sea cliffs, the vertical columns of Kilt rock, the Applecross hills, Diabeg and the Old Man of Stoer.
A flexible and adventurous trip for those who fancy getting out there, seeing it and doing it!
